Blue Water Grill & Bar in Mackinaw City

Excellent service. We usually have an early dinner and enjoy setting in a booth in the bar for a close up view of the boats and sunset. Oysters Rockfeller, sand dabs excellent.

I love stopping by the Bluewater for casual lunches or dinners with friends and family. Last time I visited, I ordered an "off menu" BLT and it was out-of-this-world! The service varies but typically the servers are prompt and friendly. I love sitting on the the patio but I've never had a bad seat inside, either. It's family friendly, has a good surf-and-turf menu and the harbor view is nice.

It was a beautiful day, the patio area was spacious (Covid conscious) & as always the food & service was exceptional!

Such a pretty restaurant with an amazing view of the Redondo Beach Marina! The restaurant decor is really nice and the restrooms are spotless too! Our server was so nice and patient when taking our order. The bread & butter were excellent and so were our meals! We love going to the Bluewater Grill! ♥️

This place is my first choice restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I favor it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to visit this restaurant. when I feel like having a special supper, this is the place that comes straightaway to my mind. Great and all sorts of food and a large list of dishes.great staff, and agreeable ambience. In addition to that, the price is good. I suggest this restaurant with no hesitation.

Had a Celebration of Life party for my Mom and Dad that was just great! The food, the room and the view really were super. We live out of state but their event coordinator Vida advised through the process and it couldn't have been easier. The staff was awesome. Everyone had a great time!

My sister and I were looking for a good restaurant on/near the Redondo Pier and came across Bluewater Grill. I ordered the swordfish and she the panko shrimp and we were both very happy. Lovely restaurant with lovely food.

2nd time in the last 2 weeks. Food is awesome. Patio Seating is available during covid. Service was great, awesome cocktails. Definitely recommend if you're in the Redondo Beach area.

Great service and very attentive. Food was good, but pricey for quantity. Most seafood wasn't local. Great evening atmosphere outside with heaters.

Our waitress was very kind, forgot the soup but gave it to go. 2 in our party order lobster tail... not recommended, one was not cooked other was over done. Appetizers were great, other 2 meals we ok. This was for my dads 85 Birthday was hoping for better food. They did comp the uncooked lobster. Wont be back.

Good sea food, ambiance, and service. We were pleased.The crab artichoke dip and the gemelli were the most delectable of all. Great space for big parties or date night. Seeing the sunset was special, too.

Our waiter, George, was a lot of fun. He walked us through the menu because we’d never been here before. He also gave us a small sundae at the end of our meal to help celebrate our honeymoon. It was really sweet. The seafood was fresh and delicious. Great atmosphere.

I met a friend last Saturday for lunch Jose was our waiter his service was Excellent as was the food. We had shrimp and chips and fish and chips both were great and the bread was delicious. We say on the patio great view what more could you ask for.

Great food and location. Service was relatively fast for how busy it was. It doesn’t give five starts because they completely forgot to bring us waters, we had to ask multiple times and finally one of the busters brought them to us because our waiter kept forgetting.

The three of us, our little family, finally decided to try this long established place and it was quite a bit better than expected. We ordered off the lunch menu. The calamari appetizer was delicious. We had sea food plates, which include two side dishes, rather than ordering the less expensive sandwiches and similar lunch fare. The snapper, ahi and shrimp/scallops were all excellent, can’t miss with any of them. Everything was fresh, very well prepared and nicely presented. The bread was wonderful. The service was great, the harbor view enchanting. They serve up pretty decent cocktails, too. It’s not a cheap restaurant but neither is it excessively pricey. All bases were covered, we left full and smiling. This is not really a destination restaurant that you might travel considerable distance for but it’s not supposed to be. It’s just a really good small chain, local landmark type place that more than satisfies.

Terrible service and food was just okay. Gave us dirty ice twice. Server was very sarcastic and rolled his eyes at my request to return an unappetizing dish. He did not treat us equally as the white patrons. We watched as other tables were getting better service and complementary bread without asking. When asked why we didn't receive any, he told us it's upon request. This place is not worth the price. However, the only slightly redeeming quality is it is off the water. Still not worth a visit. I was tempted not to leave a tip but I did. However, it was not generous.

Enough parking just outside the restaurant. Nice view of the pier. Ordered the lobster and steak. Lobster was soft and very fresh. New York steak was done to the medium rare as requested. No complains about the food.

This restaurant is clean, the waitress was Awesome and the food is Delicious! It was an Awesome experience with the outdoor dining and the staff was very courteous and always smiling! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Notably a classic place, maybe even known as historic, would best be described as prehistoric after my terrible experience there today. Word of advice, don't ever go here on Sunday's. The manager let me know, "We usually run out of Alaskan crab legs on Sunday, it just happens". Huge let down being that I drove 2 hours for them at this place. The alternative was lobster tails that were more like rubber tails. This place has great ambience, great bar area, terrible menu, the valet speeds your car to hell, the restaurant I once knew seems to have drowned in its own Blue Water.

I This is Danny with Fine Designs by Danny recently I had the pleasure in setting up a beautiful wedding at this location with the staff of boulevard florist wholesale market. In setting this event up all of the managers and staff and event planner from Bluewater grill were very hands on. The upstairs reception area is a very nice size to accompany a large event. The atmosphere and scenery is spectacular. This is a must see go to place. The food looked impeccable. Thank you Bluewater grill.

This is a good place near the water with plenty of parking. If you're the yacht-type this place is located right next to the harbor. The service and the bar are both great. There's a giant room on the second floor with another small bar for very large parties. I can't say that the menu is unique or exceptional. Things are good, but standard.

The service was really slow. We ordered a set of a fish taco and clam chowder. The taco was cold (the easiest-prepared food in the world can’t be cold). The clam chowder was good. Also, we ordered a lobster roll, which was good too.The place is located just in the harbor of Redondo Beach. It is an amazing spot; but the service is not really good. Experience vs price does not match at all. I wouldn’t recommend it.They have valet parking.

What a wonderful setting.The food is simply amazing. The cioppino was on. It is load with fresh crab scallops white fish mussels and clams, the broth is so good, it is a good thing they serve fresh hot bread that is just amazing.The staff is even better than the food. They are not over bearing but the water glass is never empty the dishes are cleared so you can enjoy your evening.This is a wonderful place for a night out. They also have a wonderful room if you need to hold a private event.

Appetizers only. Lobster bisque is of a thinner consistency, not creamy at all. Scallop appetizer was good enough

Our server Janice was absolutely wonderful! She gave great recommendations and we loved hearing about how much she liked everything and the diner was absolutely to die for! It was wonderful as we ended the night with desert and she was formal and we talked about her son and how she was going fishing with him. It was a pleasure to meet Janice and she broke the ice perfectly!

Amazing San Francisco Cioppino was huge it's awesome! My Mom had the monster lobster.Great service it was really busy and usually that takes awhile to get service , but our waiter was right there when we needed him. The only thing we had some difficulty seeing the menu our table lighting was a little dark but that's part of the atmosphere. We just happened to get a really dark lit table. Cell phone light was needed. Great view of the harbor and boats. So full I could not get to desert looking forward to it next time

Great place to spend an nice evening with someone special or just by yourself. Plenty of space to be seated o seat yourself. Valet parking for convenience. Staff is friendly and attentive. Food is great and drinks as well

We met with friends at this restaurant for a meeting. This spot was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was very successful. The staff members were very polite and we felt very good. The meal was delicious. We enjoyed every moment and we will visit this place again. Recommended.

Ate lunch here the other day when I was in town and the food was fantastic! Highly recommend the Poke and calamari! The lobster roll was nice too.

Such a great experience! I am celiac so eating out is a nightmare, especially when I'm with a group of people. Bluewater grill had a special menu with gluten free items. The food was delicious. The service was over the top and amazing. A great experience and I well certainly visit again if we ever go back to Redondo Beach.

Outstanding food. We started with the grilled octopus (I am allergic to garlic so my husband ordered this dish. They boiled it with spices which include garlic and then grill it). I ordered the prongs and they put the sauce on the side. For the main meal, my husband ordered the grilled snapper. It was light and tasted emazing.

This restaurant is in a perfect location in Redondo beach with a magnificent view of the marina! The food, especially the Maryland crabcake, was delicious!! I would rate them 4.5 stars (as opposed to 5) for 2 reason; 1) Although we waited 25-30 minutes for dinner, none of the food (except the clam chowder) was very hot. Both the crab cake & the scallop& goat cheese grits dishes would be BEYOND PERFECT if they were hot!! 2) "Thanks-We're- so- happy-to -have-you" type service is the only service that I would consider perfect. We were greeted by 2 women who were pleasant but gave me that "you're here, so we'll just wait on you" feeling. However,our waiter was better. He was just an all around phenomenal waiter! He was very knowledgeable about the menu items, patient & very welcoming! The restaurant itself is beautiful!! It was dimly lit, but was a little noisy & had a very cheery after-work gathering vibe. This is a restaurant that I actually look forward to returning to!!!

Everything about this restaurant is amazing! The food, from bread to seafood, is super fresh and delicious! Very friendly personnel and a fantastic, calm atmosphere! Wonderful place!

Our server was wonderful! Fantastic beginning to end. From the pre-meal cocktails, to the mussels, to the entrees, to the wine and port wine. Heated patio overlooking King Hatbor Marina and a Pacific sunset. Perfect!

Service was the best and our waiter was so nice during this coronovirus period. We were seated outside. Inside was closed. Food was good.

It was great they need more than 5 stars. Thanks for an incredible experience😁
